The beginning of 2014 will brought a lot of changes in insurance coverage’s for patients. The start of a new year brought new deductibles. Please contact your insurance company to understand what the changes are in your insurance coverage! Also, under the Affordable Care Act it states women are to receive “1” 100% covered wellness visit. Please understand that if you have seen another physician before your visit to our office, that visit may be paid to the other office as your 100% covered visit and NOT your visit to OBGYN of West Alabama. Please contact your insurance company prior to your visit to our office to ensure you understand what the new changes are for your insurance policy.

Filing Insurance Claims and Paying Your Bill

We file insurance claims as a courtesy to our patients. However, please be aware that you are responsible for any co-payment, coinsurance or deductible amounts at the time of service.

Please understand that your insurance is a contractual agreement between you and the insurance company. Therefore, it is your responsibility to understand your coverage and exceptions to your policy. Due to this relationship, you are ultimately responsible for your bill.

Confidentiality of Your Medical Records

All medical records and any information given to our staff will remain confidential. No information will be released unless written authorization from you is received.
